Adelaide Caravan Park had never undertaken any online marketing prior to Ivolution Consulting’s involvement, however it did have the best start that any business can have with both its location and service provided in its business name.
Our first task involved cleaning up multiple Google accounts and optimising the Park’s Google My Business listing. A new, mobile friendly website followed shortly after.
The results were staggering! Each month the Google account was regularly viewed 80,000 times, delivering on average:
Setting up a Google My Business / Plus account correctly is the most important aspect of any ‘Local’ SEO work. It lets Google know where you are. The aim is to occupy one of the 3 Google Places spots below the map on the search results page – if you can attain the first position that’s even better.
EVERYTHING matters when you set up a Google My Business account; the business categories you choose, your trading area, how and what you name your photos, business description and most importantly, business name, address & phone number.
It’s not only essential for your SEO work, a Google My Business account also records a lots of important information. Every 7, 30 or 90 days it will tell you how many people clicked through to your website, used it for driving directions to your business and, best of all … how many people phoned your business.
Occupying one of the 3 Google Places listings also makes it easy for people to find you and call you on their mobile devices.
Other Google Services connected included Google Analytics & a Google Map (associated with the business – not just the road/street).
A common issue that Ivolution Consulting encounters when setting up Google services correctly involves unravelling multiple Gmail accounts. It’s not uncommon for us to remove multiple, duplicate Google My Business pages and YouTube Channels.
A new, mobile friendly website was developed to showcase the caravan park and its amenities. As part of this process a photo shoot was undertaken to ensure we had high quality images and we upgraded the RMS booking system to make online booking a much more user friendly experience. Traffic to the website and – most importantly – online enquiries exploded.
A website really only needs to achieve two things to be successful;
A TripAdvisor business account was also set up and optimised to gain the Park more prominence on the world’s No. 1 travel site.
The Caravan Park was sold to the Aspen Group in late 2015, the website we developed was decommissioned as the Park was integrated into the new owners’ website. Ivolution Consulting assisted with the change over.
Adelaide Caravan Park has occupied the 1st Google My Business / Plus position, since the account was created and its TripAdvisor listing continues to rank highly for the search term ‘caravan park adelaide’. Not 1c has been invested since the SEO work was undertaken in February 2014.
As at 23/12/2015 Adelaide Caravan Park’s Google My Business Plus Account has been viewed 1,348,252 times – without spending 1 cent with Google!
